What was meant to be the happiest weekend of Bella and Jack’s lives took an unexpected turn. Just two days before their wedding, Bella was rushed to the hospital with suspected appendicitis. Instead of walking down the aisle as planned, she spent her wedding day surrounded by doctors, nurses, and loved ones in a hospital lobby — where she and Jack still found a way to say “I do.”

Shortly after their hospital lobby nuptials, Bella was transferred to a larger hospital in Fort Collins, where she underwent surgery. During surgery, a large amount of swelling in her abdomen was discovered, and because of this, the surgeon was unable to remove her appendix. Since then, Bella has faced multiple unexpected turns and complications with very few answers as to what is going on or how long she will be in the hospital. She still has a very long road ahead and will need at least two additional surgeries in the coming months. Through it all, she’s shown incredible strength, grace, and love — and Jack has never left her side.

As you can imagine, the medical expenses, travel, and time away from work have created an overwhelming financial strain. We’re starting this GoFundMe to help ease that burden so Bella and Jack can focus on what truly matters: healing and being together. No newlywed couple should ever have to start their lives with crippling medical debt.
