My name is Alexia, and I'm the daughter of Soleda Duroseau, also known as Sulie and Marie. On January 27th, 2024, my mother suffered a stroke followed by a heart attack, and for the past three weeks, I've been relentlessly fighting for her recovery. Despite my efforts, fate had different plans for her. Sadly, my mother has now passed away. My mom was deeply cherished, and she departed this world surrounded by her loving family, offering support and comfort until the very end.

Amongst this tragedy, her passing has left me struggling with numerous financial responsibilities. As my mother's only child and being only 22 years old, managing these burdens while also grieving is an overwhelming challenge. I'm currently juggling three jobs while pursuing a graduate degree in biotechnology. Throughout my mother's hospitalization, my focus was mainly focused on her care, which meant putting my work on hold. Now, I find myself navigating the daunting task of balancing work, education, and the weight of grief.

Throughout my mother's lifetime, she was embraced in limitless love, and I dedicated myself to fulfilling various roles for her, not just as her daughter, but also as her support system, advocate, listener, and comforting presence. In recent years, our home became a haven where my mother, our dog Teddy, and I formed an inseparable family bond. As I navigate through this excruciating time, my main priority remains ensuring the best for my mom. I envision a beautiful funeral and memorial to honor her life, and I'm committed to maintaining her household and preserving her legacies financially. While I find comfort in knowing that my mom is now free from suffering in a better place, I humbly reach out to my family and friends for assistance during this challenging period. Any form of support, whether through donations or gestures of kindness, is deeply appreciated.
