In the early morning of September 11th, 2022, an electrical fire occurred and displaced a family of 7. The family includes my older sister and brother-in-law Antonia Lombardi & Kyle Fishbein, who are parents to two children, Jesse, who was turning 8 that day, Madalaina (11 months), my younger brother Jaime, and their two cats. The house was a 3 family home, and thankfully, all residents made it out okay but it is no longer viable due to the damage.
Toni and Kyle are both incredibly hard-working, caring, selfless individuals who excel in their respective fields. Toni is the Civic Engagement manager for FaithActs for Education and Kyle works for Connecticut House Democrats. The two are happily engaged and have spent this year raising their newborn daughter and planning their wedding which is set to be this December.
Their house is the place Jesse has grown up in. My nephew learned to ride a bike here, he started kindergarten here, he's advanced in his dance career while living here, and this was his childhood home. His 8th birthday was still celebrated, and we are so thankful, but the family has a lot to think about now. They've lost so much so quickly, and it's heartbreaking.
Toni and Kyle have spent the last few years creating a home and life together; their house at Spring street was where family and friends could come together and celebrate all kinds of milestones. They deserve so much better. Their children deserve better.
I created this gofundme as a way to try and give back to them a fraction of what they've given others in the time they've spent together. As her younger sister, it's usually always been Toni's job to protect me, and now I want nothing more than to reverse this role and help her in any way I know how. Please, if you cannot donate, share this with anyone you know. Raising awareness is the first step to helping them rebuild what they've lost. ❤️
