Financial Support for Brenda and Dan Hoover

My mother, Brenda, in December went to her doctor for some discomfort on her side. Through that visit, they did an ultrasound and found out she had a growth on her liver. They had to do more tests and imaging to really get a good look at it and to see if it was life threatening. After weeks of going in to do CT scans, then to an MRI, they found that it was important to move to surgery.

She was given over to doctors at
UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion - Anschutz Medical Campus located in Denver, where they began the treatment plan for my mother. 

Before they could do a liver resection, they needed to make sure there was nothing else, no other growths that they couldn’t maybe see from the MRI and imaging tests. 

My mother was told to get a colonoscopy to make sure they were good to go with the surgery and their treatment plan for her. However, they found growths there too, which is where the liver growth came from. 

From there her surgeon, Ana Gleisner, MD, PhD decided that they were first going to take care of the liver and have it fully restored for chemo in the coming months. With that being said, my dad is the sole provider for my mom and sister, so it would mean a lot to me and them, if anyone found this as a great way to pay it forward. We were never raised to ask for money, but this will cost thousands of dollars for them even with insurance. 

We thank Jesus for helping us through all of this, we’re hopeful and in constant prayer for her health and recovery.
