Cesar's Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Crystel and I am raising money for my dad Cesar who was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called Leiomyosarcoma, also known as LMS.

LMS grows in the smooth muscles of one's body such as the intestines, stomach, bladder, and blood vessels. Unfortunately for my dad, his cancer lies beneath his forehead which makes his case extremely rare.

He was diagnosed in February this year, and thankfully we caught the cancer in its early stages. However, because the cancer is rare and the location of where it's found is not usual, this means even more treatment and testing.

A small back story, my dad got a bump on the right side of the forehead and didn't think much of it. Over a few weeks, the bump started to grow, became red and was irritating him. We decided to take him to the doctor and they declared it a Cyst.

We then scheduled an appointment to remove the Cyst with the dermatologist, once it was time to remove it that's when they stated it was a "growing mass" rather than a Cyst. The dermatologist was able to remove a small portion as this was outside of his realm and also used the sample for testing.

My dad received a call from the doctor and he said my dad has Leiomyosarcoma. We scheduled another appointment for surgery in hopes to remove everything, unfortunately, they were unable to remove everything due to difficulties. However, they did remove a good portion of the cancer.

My dad has since been to the doctors for frequent testing and treatments to gather more information on his specific cancer. There was a team of surgeons assigned specifically to my dad's case to determine what the next best steps are to remove the cancer entirely.

He has a few appointments coming up this April including more scans, testing, and hopefully another surgery.

My dad is known to be a goofball and super energetic. He would look forward to going to work, working out, and would always laugh with a big smile on his face. Sadly, the cancer has weakened him therefore he's not active and unable to work.

His children have been able to help with his financial bills however his medical bills are very expensive. Therefore these funds will go toward any medical bills and doctor visits.
