Some people leave a lasting mark on everyone they meet, and Cesare Liberatore was one of those people. He was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and the way he could make anyone feel welcome. Whether it was through his sense of humour, his generosity, or simply being there for the people he cared about, Cesare brought light into the lives of so many.

The loss of Cesare has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of his parents, Zarr and Simonetta, as well as his family, friends, teammates, and everyone fortunate enough to know him. This fundraiser has been created to support Zarr and Simonetta during this incredibly difficult time, helping to ease the financial pressures they may face as they honour their son and navigate the difficult months ahead.

I created this fundraiser as a close member of Cesare’s community who wanted to support his family during this incredibly difficult time. The idea came from personal experience with the loss of a close friend and that I knew would help so much, and that the people who needed it most wouldn’t be in the right space to think about this stuff right now. I am organising this to help ease the financial pressures Cesare’s family may face as they honour their son and navigate the difficult months ahead. 

All funds raised will be transferred directly to Cesare’s family once withdrawn from GoFundMe. The funds will be used to assist with funeral and memorial expenses, immediate household and living costs, and any other financial needs the family may face while taking time to grieve and support one another.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, is a meaningful way to stand beside Cesare’s family and remind them they are surrounded by a community that loves and supports them.
