Cesar Vazquez

On Friday December 17th, at 7:30pm, at Saint Raphael’s Church (The Mission) in San Rafael, join us to celebrate the life of Cesar Vazquez. He was a loving father of Alejandra, Antonio, and Angel, and on October 28th became the proud Grandfather to Amelia, daughter of Alejandra and her husband Andy Gramajo. He leaves behind his wife of 30 years Lorenza Ruiz who have been childhood sweethearts, growing up together, going to school, church, and community events in Peto, Yucatan, Mexico. After they got married in 1998, they immigrated to the United States in search of the American Dream. They have been together all of their lives. Cesar also leaves behind his beloved dog Amor, who joined the family on Valentines Day

El viernes 17 de diciembre, a las 7:30 pm, en la Iglesia de San Raphael (La Misión) en San Rafael, acompañenos a celebrar la vida de César Vázquez. Fue un padre amoroso de Alejandra, Antonio y Angel, y el 28 de octubre se hizo abuelo de Amelia, hija de Alejandra y su esposo Andy Gramajo. Deja atrás a su esposa de 30 años, Lorenza Ruiz, quienes han sido novios desde que eran niños, yendo a la escuela, la iglesia y eventos comunitarios en Peto, Yucatán, México. Después de casarse en 1998, emigraron a los Estados Unidos en busca del Sueño Americano. Han estado juntos toda su vida. Cesar también deja atrás a su amado perro Amor, quien se unió a la familia el día de San Valentín.

Cesar worked throughout Marin as a chef for decades, Marin Brewing Company, The Seafood Peddler, the Broken Drum, and many Pizzerias. His last jobs were at Safeway and at United Market in San Rafael.

Durante décadas, Cesar trabajó como chef en Marin, Marin Brewing Company, The Seafood Peddler, el Broken Drum y muchas pizzerías. Sus últimos trabajos fueron en Safeway y en United Market en San Rafael.

He was a proud volunteer at St. Raphael's Church, helping as a eucharistic minister, helping at the annual Passion of Christ play, and for La Fiesta de La Virgen de Guadalupe. He was a true Guadalupano every 12th of December.

Fue un orgulloso voluntario en la Iglesia St. Raphael's, ayudando como un ministro eucaristico, participando en la obra de la pasión de Cristo, y apoyando cada año en La Fiesta de La Virgen de Guadalupe. Era un guadalupano verdadero cada 12 de diciembre.

Cesar was born on August 13th, 1971 and passed away on December 7th, 2021. Below you can see the love he had for Amelia, his first grandchild.

The Vazquez/Ruiz family is asking for donations to help pay for the mortuary costs, church services, and medical bills.
