Cesar Rueda's Medical Bills
Donation protected
Cesar Rueda and his family need your help after Cesar was tragically hit by a car while selflessly putting himself in harm’s way to help others.
On October 13th, Cesar stopped on the 215 freeway to check on a major accident near Iowa Ave. Cesar and another good samaritan, Mr. Harris were directing traffic away from the accident when a drunk driver hit both of them. Mr. Harris died of his injuries after being transported to the local hospital. Cesar was also transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries: his right leg was broken with torn ligaments in the knee, his bladder burst inside his abdomen, and he had a laceration to his head.
With the injuries sustained, the hospital bills are too much for Cesar and his family. We are looking for any help this community can offer.
Cesar is a 22-year-old West Covina resident and student at the University of California, Riverside. Cesar has always lived his life by putting others before himself. Cesar is an AFROTC Cadet seeking a commission in the Air Force, Arnold Air Society member that dedicates countless hours towards community service. Upon graduation this June, Cesar will be attending Undergraduate Pilot Training!
This is not the first time Cesar has saved a life. Just last year while Cesar was working at a campus intramurals sports event, an individual collapsed. Cesar and his associates helped them identify that this person was pulseless and not breathing. Cesar performed CPR while the others called 911 and grabbed the AED, a selfless act saved the person's life. This was one highlight of many good deeds this young man has done for his local community.
God Bless!
