Cesar Needs Your Help: Leukemia & Recovery

Hello y'all, I am Daniel. I am making this GoFundMe for my dad, Cesar, who has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia.

Last week, between March 25 - 27, he had begun to feel bad; however, thinking that it was just a quick cold, he didn't think much of it. However, over the following days, he began to start feeling worse and worse, especially as he was unable to hold down any food and experienced extreme bouts of lightheadedness. On March 27, in an effort to get some food in his system, he decided to cook some food; however, he passed out in the midst of it and severely burned himself all over his body, mostly on his chest & leg. This is something which he needed surgery for. After all these incidents, I decided to take him to the hospital where they diagnosed him with Leukemia, which is a type of cancer that affects the blood & bone marrow. The doctors were surprised that he was still alive, saying that due to both the low blood and platelet count levels that they were seeing, he should've already technically been dead.

Over the past few days, they did a number of tests such as for his bone marrow & blood to see what the issue was. And as stated previously, he had been diagnosed with Leukemia. One for which there is a possible way forward with the proper treatment in place. Furthermore, they were treating him for the burns he received when he fell, as well as treating him for a number of issues that were related to both the burns and the Leukemia diagnosis, such as bruising & bodily pain.

Over the next few days here at the hospital, we are seeing what the treatment plan for him would be. Throughout the course of this, we realized a few things:

1. This was going to be a long and arduous journey.

2. That my dad will need to stay at the hospital to receive the initial bout of treatments for at least next month.

3. Due to him needing to stay at the hospital, he won't be able to work for the next month.

We are humbly asking for donations to help support my dad. This money will be used to help pay off the already mounting co-payment medical bills, which includes chemotherapy, operations, medication, & hospital stays, as well as help take care of any other bills he has, such as those for the house, now that he is unable to work due to the given circumstances.
