I’m fundraising to help my daughter Cerys who is 14 yrs old buy SIMBA an adorable pony and my daughters Heart Horse!

Simba Costs a few thousand pounds so we are trying to raise as much as possible to help towards buying him and initial set up costs.

Cerys was awarded a grant by the Young Carers Trust almost 3yrs ago and decided she wanted to start horse riding.

It was then she discovered her passion and talent for the sport and quickly progressed to advanced intermediate level in riding and is showing a talent in show jumping also.

She has ridden many different sizes and types of ponies/horses during this time however none have captured her heart like her boy SIMBA has.

Cerys started riding Simba at a local riding school back in early 2025 and there bond was instant.

Simba has been known to be a stubborn boy however Cerys has worked hard building trust and a strong genuine bond with him and together they have placed many times in show jumping comps and also took a 1st and a 3rd in their 1st Showing comp together last summer.

They have together grown in confidence and maturity and it hasn’t always been an easy journey with frustration and tears along the way! Cerys has stood by Simba though and never gave up on him and over time they have become a dynamic duo!

Simba has helped Cerys to grow and mature in many ways over the past year not only in her riding but in her personal life also teaching her about responsibility and unconditional love and we would really love to buy him from the riding school and to give him a forever home where he will have lots of love and attention every day as part of our own family and where he will be pampered daily.

I am also a horse lover and am fully on board with helping Cerys to care and provide for Simba.

We have the means to provide and care for Simba however would appreciate any help towards the initial cost of buying him and getting things set up.

Cerys would love to share her journey on tik tok and other social media platforms so everyone can follow her and simba’s journey too!

She is also doing other things to raise money and these will be documented on her tik tok account @savingforsimba.

Starting with picking poo up in fields for some horse/pony owners at a local yard and filling hay nets etc.
