Two years ago I was asked by a young man traveling through our neighborhood on a skateboard what I would wish for my community if I could wish one wish. I told him that it would be my dream to see my community drug free, as drugs have ravished so many lives here. Now I am the pastor of two Christian churches, one in Greeley Hill and the other in Groveland, California. I would like to further my training so as to be able to adequately meet the challenge of helping those who are addicted to chemical substances.
Because I already have a professional masters degree for pastoral ministry I am seeking at the present a certificate program that will allow me to be certified with the state of California to provide drug and alcohol addiction counseling. This certification process involves both online coursework as well as supervised field-work, all in preparation to take and pass a state certification test. In conjunction with doing this coursework I, along with others in our communities, will be starting community programs to help community members become and remain addiction free.
My coursework will be done through the CCAPP approved school <<sobercollege.com>>.
All course fees will total $5,500 dollars. The program can be started at the 1st of every month, so as soon as I have the requisite funding I can begin. I would be delighted to have your help. Together we can help others to attain healthy and productive patterns of living.
