Meet 1 year old baby Samuel, the only child of a young mother who seeks your help. Samuel's mom had complications at birth causing lack of oxygen to his brain and he had to spend 4 months in neonatal intensive care unit. Baby Samuel is now diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, and he requires a stem cell transplant in an effort to improve his chance of normalcy. He currently resides in Jamaica, but the health care available cannot meet his needs, as such, he was referred to Boston Children's Hospital in the USA.
At present baby Samuel completes weekly physiotherapy sessions to stimulate muscle movement and blood flow to help with physical development. Additionally, he completes developmental review with a paediatric neurologist and the feedback has been positive. By completing the stem cell transplant, baby Samuel will have a higher percentage chance of normalcy, as such we are asking for your kind donation in funding with this procedure.
