Aloha,

I am Brandie Gouveia the life partner of Shane Ahlo Sr. Shane is a long-time resident of Ewa Beach and a father of 5 children. In addition, he is a proud grandfather to Sadie, Stori, Stella, Stryker, Saint, & Karma. Throughout his career Shane has held many positions in the construction business with the most recent at Affiliated Construction as a Labor Foreman. Shane was recently diagnosed with AL Amyloidosis which is a protein misfolding and metabolism disorder in which insoluble fibrils are deposited in various tissues, causing organ dysfunction and eventually death; therefore, early detection is crucial. His onset symptoms were presented in November 2022 as physicians were doing their best to properly diagnose him.

As Shane prepares to make his way to City of Hope Medical Center in the Mainland for a stem cell transplant, we are seeking financial donations to help offset his elaborate medical costs that are mounting.
