My name is Tori Stauffer, and my family is helping me get this started. My Grandparents, Alex and Anita Bazan have been Pastors their entire lives, long before I was born. Soon after they were married, they started a Hispanic ministry and went door to door trying to reach people who had not found Christ in their community. They did not have the funds to acquire, build, or support their own Church, so they began to raise funds while borrowing a Church from another congregation to spread the word of God. During the past 40 years, the congregation has almost circled Escondido, CA having been in 19 different locations and have shared facilities with 3 schools. Since 1974, they have slowly been putting away funds to realize their dream of opening their own church. Although they had enough to purchase the land in 1993, they did not accumulate enough to build the building and make improvements, nor did they qualify for a loan enough to finish the project. My Grandfather Alex Bazan passed away 9 years ago and so my Grandmother Anita has taken this on full time with the help of our community, and wishes to see this through before her time on Earth is through. I feel compelled to step in and see how I, you and God can make a positive change and help my Grandparents realize their dream. This story will be better told in a full-length video that is under development, however we cannot afford to squander another moment. Won't you join me in helping not just my Grandmother see this through, but give so many believers (and new followers of Christ) a Christian home?
