Please help the Springfield Central girls raise money to go to North Carolina for the New Balance Nationals. We have been trying to achieve this goal from the start of our indoor season and we've overcome so many obstacles to get this far. In the Winter, we came with in .99 seconds of qualifying for the 4x200meter.
During the outdoor season we redoubled our efforts and qualify in the 4x100. Our time of 49.34 was good enough to win the race at the Central/Western Mass Div. 1 Qulifier. We improved it to a 49.33 this weekend, placing 3rd at all states.
Damahya has also been working hard to improve in the triple jump. Earlier in the season she qualified to compete at the meet, but her performance did not count because it was at a dual meet. She struggled to find her mark during the City Track Championship and PVIAC Div. 1 championship. At these meets she did not have a measured attempt. During the Central/Western Mass Div. 1 Qulifier, Damahya jumped 6 times and every attempt qualified her to compete. She placed 8th with a jump of 33' 9".
It would be an honor to be the first group to represent Springfield Central Girl's Track on the national level. We just need a push to make it there and it would mean the world to all of us if we got some help. Your donation will help cover travel expenses, food, meet registration, and accomodations.
