Central Saanich Family Loses House to Fire -

Central Saanich family loses house to fire

If you live in Central Saanich you likely heard the wail of sirens on Sunday night. Unfortunately, emergency services were racing to the Alcock family home as it was engulfed in flames. Thankfully they all escaped safely, but between fire, smoke and then water, most everything this family owned was destroyed. They are now displaced and having to piece their lives back together. As you can imagine, this is tragic at the best of times, but even more so during this global COVID-19 crisis.

Many have asked how you can now help this lovely family get back on their feet after their house fire. My friend and her husband have two children (a daughter that attends Bayside Middle School and their son attends Stelly’s Secondary). I have set up this GoFundMe page for your cash donations to help the family get a new place to live, clothes, toiletries and other essentials. Please note that given the COVID-19 crisis and social distancing, donations of physical items can not be accepted.

The Alcock’s are very community-minded, kind and a generous family who would help others in a heartbeat. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated to help them in this time of need.

Please share this link with others in support of the Alcock family.
