Central Presbyterian Church is home to a group of fine artists who encourage each other and the community.
On Saturdays, we occasionally host an indoor craft market.
Periodically, we host the Mobile Mystery Dinner Theater and Company 11.
It only makes sense that we embrace photography too!
My goodness, with your help, the darkroom is more than halfway there!! Thank you!
Help us finish this project. Please share!
Hi, We are Central Presbyterian Church in Midtown Mobile and we are raising funds to build a dark room for analog photography.

Home to over 15 artists in diciplines ranging in mediums from visual artists, potters, to even theater and Opera, Central has a rich history of serving the local community.
Our next dream is to build a darkroom for those who, in a digital age, want to learn the rich art of developing film and printing their own pictures from film.

Alec Thigpen and Yancy Leeth have donated many essentials including reels, tanks, trays, tongs, red safety lights, a professional beseler enlarger with interchangeable lenses (capable of color work),
and sink/wet area. So we have the necessary equipment, and we have room for it.
We are asking for help for: floor & wall refinishing/sealing for light, an additional enlarger which would be entry level, a silver recovery unit, countertops, cubbies, drying rack, and lockers.
The Central Community Darkroom will be open to local photographers and students, and anyone wanting to experience analog film. A brief orientation is required.
