Many of you have contacted me asking what you can do to help. This is it. All the funds donated go directly to the Center's. Melissa is the last person that would ever ask for money but donations to help relieve the financial stress of unpaid medical leave would be the most beneficial. Melissa had 55 unpaid days off last year due to travel to MD Anderson, surgeries, testing, chemo, etc.
Here is an update below that Melissa posted-
"As many of you already know my cancer has not only returned, it has progressed rapidly over the summer. There are now multiple tumors throughout my abdomen and on my liver. The doctors at MD Anderson in Houston are optimistic that I will now qualify for the Clinical Trial that we were looking at last year. We are scheduled to fly back to Houston for my preliminary labs, screening and Clinical Trial qualification work along with surgery over the next 2 weeks. We will then come home for 3-4 weeks while tumor infiltrating lymphocytes are being produced in a lab. When they are ready, we will return to Houston and be admitted into the hospital for at least 3 weeks to follow the treatment protocol.
We truly appreciate all your prayers and positive messages. Please keep them coming as this trial is experimental, very risky, and has the potential of some pretty severe side effects. But if it works, it could be a chance at long term remission. High risk, high reward! I am thinking maybe my purpose in this is to prove this treatment’s effectiveness and get to help lots of other people in the future.
I am also asking for prayers for my sweet husband, my family and my precious Addie. We have all been devastated with this latest update but know that we can and will push through! Our army is a strong one and we are so very grateful!"

Hey there friends and family! I'm sure most of you know by now that Melissa has stumbled across some bad news recently. Unfortunately, her 6 month follow up scan showed that cancer is back and has metastasized into her abdomen. They are currently seeking treatment plans from MD Anderson in Houston. So far, a clinical trial with immunotherapy seems to be the best option since her cancer seems to be smarter than standard treatment plans.
Many have expressed a desire to help. I decided to set this up because I think this will be the best avenue to provide them with financial assistance. They will be flying to Houston many times over the summer. This can help with hotels, flight, food etc.
