My name is Jim Barnes and I am the pastor of First Baptist Church in Maine, New York.  After living in Indiana for 14 years, I developed a passion for archery and the outdoors.  Eventually I came across a ministry called, "Centershot" which helps kids to make Christ the target of their lives by teaching them the skills of archery.  I am asking those who have a love for the outdoors and for seeing Jesus make a difference in the lives of young people today, to pray and ask the Lord how much you can give to help me and FBC to get this program started. 

My goal is to raise enough funds to launch this ministry here in Maine, New York by the end of summer.  I estimate that it will cost around $4,000 for intial start up costs.   If we can raise the monies, it should cover the cost of the equipment needed,  a Year's Membership, and training for Certified Archery Instructors.  I have seen the need here in our town for children to have godly men and women to mentor them and give them guidance in their lives.   This is a ministry that will meet a definite need in our community.

After having to depend on God to provide for my families needs in our transistion, I have realized that God moves on people's hearts to help one another in their situations.  I would be eternally grateful if you partner with me, my family, and our church here in Maine to make this dream a reality so we can make a difference here in New York.
