Hi

My name is Mairead and I am a mum of 3 grown up Children. I've watched my daughter Diane over the years travel to India to help the less fortunate than herself ,myself and my family and now finally I have the opportunity to do the same with your help.

In January myself and a group of 8 other women are traveling to India to volunteer at The Celtic Cross Primary School . My friend Elaine Founded this school in 2008. It consists of 5 classrooms and 6 teachers who provide free education to over 100 children from age 4 to 14. The school is in the Purkait Cheri region of West Bengal. To date all funds required to build school ,purchase equipment and pay teachers has been done through fundraising .

This fundraising needs to continue as there is a huge amount of poverty in the area with the average wage for a family being around €120 per year. (shocking I know ).Here is where I need your help to buy much needed equipment for the school ,the children and their families. My aim is to help as many Children their parents and others in the local community as possible by providing them with the tools and equipment they need to help them provide for their families and improve their quality of life.

I would be so grateful for any donation as nothing is to small or to big. I will keep you all posted on the fund raising developments.
