Ascanio è un bambino di 6 anni, a cui è stato diagnosticato “autismo grave” livello 3, a 2 anni e 3 mesi.

Il suo autismo è arrivato in maniera lenta ed inesorabile, ha portato via tutte le competenze acquisite.

Ha smesso di parlare, di guardare, di interagire… in poco tempo Ascanio non c’era più…era immerso nel suo mondo lontanissimo da noi.

La nostra vita da allora è cambiata, e viviamo in funzione sua. Il dolore che ci accompagna non si può raccontare, ma è un abisso infinito.

Abbiamo provato ogni terapia, ad oggi ancora facciamo tantissimo per lui, ma purtroppo i miglioramenti, quelli che vorremmo vedere, non arrivano.

Ascanio non parla, non comunica, eppure è un bambino meraviglioso e merita una possibilità per il suo futuro.

Tante notti ho sognato di parlare con lui…ed è per questo che sono qui, mettendo via il mio orgoglio, la mia dignità, chiedendo aiuto a tutti voi.

Il trapianto di cellule staminali all’estero è una realtà usata già da tempo anche per l’autismo con ottimi risultati, ma purtroppo in Italia questo trattamento ancora non è possibile per questa diagnosi.

Abbiamo deciso di provare questa strada, ma il costo è proibitivo, 25 mila euro, per questo chiediamo un aiuto a chi può, anche solo di condivisione.

Ascanio, ha bisogno di un grande aiuto, ed io proverò ogni strada possibile per potergli dare quel futuro che merita, per favore, non lasciatelo solo.

Ascanio is a 6-year-old boy who was diagnosed with "severe" level 3 autism at the age of 2 years and 3 months.

His autism came on slowly and relentlessly, taking away all the skills he had acquired.

He stopped speaking, looking, and interacting... in a short time, Ascanio was no longer there... he was immersed in his own distant world, far away from us.

Our lives have changed since then, and we live for him. The pain that accompanies us cannot be described, it is an infinite abyss.

We have tried every therapy, and we still do so much for him, but unfortunately, the improvements we would like to see have not come.

Ascanio doesn't speak, he doesn't communicate, yet he is a wonderful child and deserves a chance for his future.

Many nights I have dreamt of talking to him... and that is why I am here, putting aside my pride, my dignity, and asking for help from all of you.

Stem cell transplantation abroad has been a reality for some time now, even for autism, with excellent results. Unfortunately, in Italy, this treatment is still not possible for this diagnosis.

We have decided to try this path, but the cost is prohibitive, 25,000 euros. That is why we are asking for help from anyone who can, even just by sharing.

Ascanio needs a great help, and I will try every possible avenue to give him the future he deserves. Please, don't leave him alone.
