I am a Norwegian aging researcher building a therapeutics company based on export of cellular components. Such multi-targeted therapeutics could help broadly prevent or reverse age-related diseases and decline in health, thereby extending healthspan, the years we live in good health (Niccoli & Partridge, 2012, , Zhang ., 2021, ).

I am currently seeking grant and philanthropic support to advance the technologies towards pre-clinical development and a seed round. The support will be spent on lab experiments that have been carefully planned with hundreds of scientists over two years. I can send you the detailed experimental plan, which will lead to a proof-of-concept technology to enable a large raise from investors on great terms. Many investors have said that they will invest (millions of Dollars in total) if I successfully show that I can improve cellular phenotypes following cellular export.

The company has been built in the first cohort of the prestigious 5050 UK company building programme, organised by Fifty Years VC (San Francisco) and UK's Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA). They remain close mentors.

My current focus is to build programmable technologies that selectively export mitochondria to enable a new therapeutic modality for diseases and aging. Mitochondrial export would work synergistically with mitochondrial transplantation and engineering therapies by exporting unengineered (wild-type) or damaged mitochondria.

I pursued a Molecular Genetics BSc (King's College London) and a PhD in cellular technology development at the University of Cambridge to build the expertise required to innovate the therapeutic modalities in the company. I built advanced technologies with Prof Sir Shankar Balasubramanian (co-inventor of the widely used Solexa-Illumina DNA Next Generation Sequencing technology, ℎ://./438) and worked on aging and rejuvenation with Altos Labs (the largest rejuvenation company in the world). I also worked on rejuvenation at Harvard Medical School (Prof David Sinclair's lab: https://sinclair.hms.harvard.edu/) and mitochondrial clearance (mitophagy) in Oslo (Evandro Fei Fang's lab: https://evandrofanglab.com/).

Rationale for building a rejuvenation biotech company based on damage removal:

In 2016, I dedicated my career to helping extend our healthy lifespans as much as possible. I spent a lot of my time developing ideas in order to start a rejuvenation company focused on developing damage export technologies that remove hundreds of types of damage out of our cells, thereby extending our healthy lifespan and reversing or preventing diseases. Aging involves thousands of molecular changes, so we urgently need more ambitious companies that develop synthetic interventions and tissue replacement strategies, rather than single molecule drugs, to reverse enough damage to drastically extend our healthy lifespans. Single therapeutics, supplements, and lifestyle will likely have limited effects on our healthy lifespans before a glass ceiling will be reached.

It has been proposed that damaged mitochondria would be the most important cellular component to export out of cells (with the biggest therapeutic benefits). A long-term aim of the company is to start clinical trials for age-related diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease, before the therapeutics can hopefully be used to reverse aging in healthy individuals and prevent a broad range of diseases.
