On Wednesday, February 23rd, at midnight, our caring and beautiful niece in Jamaica, Celine Hugh was involved in a hit and run coming home from work. At the age of 24, she was found unconscious, bleeding out on the side of the road after being struck and thrown out the car window. She was rushed to the hospital and is in dire need of funds for the operation. Her femur is broken in three different places, requiring a metal plate and multiple pins.
She also needs a skin graft for her upper body.
To have the surgeon even consider operating on her costs CAD 14,000. The total cost of all the operations will be CAD 50,000. Jamaica does not offer the same type of health care available in Canada.
It is our hope that this campaign will help ease the financial burden that this unfortunate tragedy placed on us.
Celine is an extremely loving and hardworking member of the family and is always willing to help whenever she can. She just jumpstarted her full-time career as an aspiring chef at a resort. This was the primary source of income for Celine and her brother.
Her warm-spirited personality instantly touches everyone she meets. Any amount you can contribute in these difficult times would be deeply appreciated.
