Hello Everyone!

I am beyond ecstatic to let you all know that I have been admitted into the Fall 2022 Level 3 Cohort for specialization in INTIMACY COORDINATION with IDC (Intimacy Directors and Coordinators). I am over the moon!

~What is Intimacy Coordination?~

Intimacy Coordination is a person on a film/tv set who acts as a liaison between the actors and the production team when it comes to scenes regarding physical intimacy, levels of undress, violent depictions of non-consent, and more. The intimacy coordinator's job is to help navigate, choreograph, and craft these scenes. It is also their job to collaborate and coordinate with the other departments to ensure everyone is on the same page and safe.

I have been on the journey towards certification in this discipline since January of 2018. I fell in love with a profession devoted to giving actors and performers agency and a voice whilst simultaneously creating physical storytelling rooted in consent culture and collaboration.

This is a massive step in my career. By the end of November, I will pass on to a mentorship in Level 4, with my certification pending on IDC’s website (Intimacy Directors and Coordinators ).

This next major step in my journey costs a pretty penny. I am terrible at asking for help, but I need your help, friends.

The layout of costs is as follows:

Deposit (25% of the total tuition $4999): $1250

(due 6/24- I’ve paid this but needed to empty most of my bank account to do so)

Remaining 75% of Tuition: $3749

(due 8/8)

3 Round Trip Flights for in-person training in NYC from Los Angeles:

roughly $350-$450 per flight= $1050-$1350 total

(first trip in August- another weekend in October and then again in November)

This is NOT including the cost of food and housing. In this campaign, I have listed a goal of $5000 to cover the remaining tuition and hopefully the majority of the airfare (LA is really far from NYC, my friends…who woulda thought)
