Celia Kasper - Medical Bills & Expenses

Hi, my name is Sissy Weber. I am fundraising for my niece, Celia Kasper and my sister, Shelie Kasper.

Celia has been hospitalized since January 22nd and is currently in critical condition.

She was originally diagnosed with complications from diabetes while admitted to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. However, while at LMH, she contracted a staph infection. She was being treated for the staph infection and after 10 days she was sent home.

The following morning, she began experiencing loss of feeling in her legs and was sent by ambulance to KU Medical Center where they discovered blood clots in both of her legs. She underwent emergency surgery to remove the blood clots. While trying to recover from the blood clots, the doctors discovered that the staph infection had caused damage to her mitral heart valve. The medical staff are trying to get her stabilized so they can perform the surgery to replace her mitral valve.

She is currently intubated, heavily sedated and on dialysis treatments. She has had some small strokes as well as seizures. Her health has continued to decline and she is in very critical condition.

Her Mom and my sister, Shelie, has been her love and support for her every step of the way.

They now need a village of support and prayers to help them feel they are not alone in this fight!

Due to mounting medical bills as well as loss of work, travel costs and other mounting bills, they need assistance in covering these expenses.
