Hi my name is Tianna Nieves, I’ve known Celeste and the Carpio family since before I was born. Celeste and I have been close for years and even worked together in the medical field when I was first starting out. She held my hand, taught me so many things, and helped me regain my confidence in myself not only in my work, but in that part of my life. She is like a big sister I never had, and I am so grateful she is still with us. She is an extremely hard worker, she is a mother of 2, in a family of 5 and works 2 jobs to provide for her family and their needs. She is never one to ask for help or even say she needs anything. She puts her kids and family before herself just to be able to meet their needs. But right now, she needs us.

On Saturday evening, 3/2/24 Celeste was on her way home with some friends when they got a flat tire. As they were changing the tire, a person in a passing car threw a glass bottle out the window aiming at Celeste and her friends, and unfortunately Celeste was hit by this bottle. She is currently in the hospital with 4 broken ribs, a punctured lung, it did collapse and she had to be intubated, and currently has to be in the hospital until she can breathe on her own again.

Celeste and her family need our help right now, as she is going through this process she is unable to work, and unable to provide for her family. She does not currently have a discharge date and the stress of the hospital stay on top of her injuries are a lot to handle.
