Celebration of Lindsay's Life
Donation protected

My dad was a musician who specialised in playing the flute and congoe's. He supported the likes of Bob Marley, Aswad, Duran Duran, Black Uhuru as a session player as well as mixing with celebrities like Mick Jagger, Frank Bruno and he met Muhammad Ali. What many people may not know is that my dad was also a pretty good artist who loved to paint.
My Dad became an orthodox Rastafarian in 2005. Although my Dad had a full life, the latter part of his life was plagued by ill health due to diabetes. Unfortunately he died unexpectedly, leaving us no time for preparations.
We are fundraising because we would like to give my Dad a lovely send-off on behalf of the family and Community who loved him so much and we need help to do this.
The funds we receive will be used for the below:
1) Cremation, funeral procession, a fully lined and simple coffin, flowers
2) After the funeral - cost for Maxilla social club - where there will be live musicians playing on behalf of Dad's life, food and drinks
3) Rastafarian Nine Night - cost for Acklam Village venue, drumming, food, drinks
4) Small plaque in his name at the Elgin Pub
We would like to express how grateful we would be to receive funds to help contribute to Lindsay's celebration of his life as soon as possible.
The Rastafarian Nine Night will take place on Wednesday 13th October 2021 and the Funeral will be at the end of October.
Thank you and peace and love.
