Celebration of life for Mom

Hi everyone, my name is Mikaela and I am fundraising for my mother Patti. We came down to Costa Rica for a Thanksgiving trip to celebrate on a family vacation. One day into the trip, we noticed something was "off" with my mom. We ended up taking her to the clinic on November 25th and they immediately transferred her to a private hospital for further assessment. Her test results came back resulting in "Chronic Liver Disease/Failure". She has been in the hospital since and throughout her treatment, they found she has developed fluid in her lungs. As of last night, November 29, they put her on a ventilator to stabilize her. Our goal now is to book an emergency care flight home and get her to the United States as soon as possible. The only way to get her back to the US is through an air ambulance which is extremely expensive and we are having trouble affording it. If we get my mom back to the US, she has a chance to get the care she needs which gives her chance to spend several years with her family. If you know my family, you know this is a last resort asking people for help like this. Please, if anyone is able to contribute, it would mean the world to my family and I. We are not ready to lose our mom. Thank you so much.
