Funeral Expenses for Shirley Fisk

Dear friends and family,

(Edited) Update on mom a/o 4/14/25. They gave her a few days to a week maybe to live but mom didn't throw in the towel and it wasn't Gods time for her to come home. She has started improving so much that Compassionate Care discharged her from hospice and she's currently in a skilled facility getting continued help. Thank you for those of you who donated! Your donations are going towards a funeral fund started in her name because one day she will pass and she doesn't have any life insurance but hopefully it won't be for awhile.

I am writing to you today to let you know that my mom, Shirley Fisk, has been placed on hospice and we were just told today that she has days to a week left. This is the hardest thing for me to write. You feel like your parents will live forever right? God gave mom a very long life and as much as I want to keep holding on, I have to let her go if it is God's time for her to come home. She has been suffering with health issues for quite some time and has always believed God for her healing. Fighter is what she is. She has been through more than many of us in our lifetimes. Mom is 89 years old and she would've been 90 this June. If you know my Mom, you never had to guess what she was thinking. Without a doubt, Mom loves God with her whole heart and is the biggest prayer warrior when you need her. I could write a book about my mother and tell you how selfless and compassionate of a person she has been her entire life. Yes she could be complicated for sure but she meant well and she was honest. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She has the biggest heart. Mom was a huge cook and she always made enough for an army so if you left hungry, it was your fault (lol). Just wanted to share with you about my mom. She will always be in my heart and I will continue to honor her in every way I can.

Due to financial issues, mom does not have life insurance therefore her funeral service, etc will not be covered and I'll be paying for everything out of pocket.

Please help us honor my mom's life by donating anything you are able to. Anything helps. I am forever thankful for your generosity and prayers. Thank you so very much for just reading this.
