Celebration of life. Michael Chun

As many of you now know, on Wednesday, April 6th Mike unexpectedly passed away, leaving behind his Partner in crime and their 3-year-old son.
Although Mike was known for his more serious exterior. Beyond that was a man known for his complete loyalty, kindness, and friendship. The saying goes “he would give the shirt off of his back to help someone” In Mike’s case he would jump in his truck, and no matter the time, day, or weather he’d be there as quickly as possible to help you out of any situation you were in.
This kindness went beyond his friends and family. As everyone has come together in the last 48 hours, I’ve heard countless stories of how he would stop for a stranger on the side of the road, he’d help dig a car out of the snow, boost a battery, or change a tire in the pouring rain and never ask for anything in return and refused to accept it when it was offered. He would beam with pride after helping someone. He honestly should have had his own bat signal and Chase would have loved that.
The family is understandably shocked by this loss and, unfortunately, not prepared for all that is happening. Losing a loved one is always difficult but coping with a sudden loss adds a different element to the grieving process. It doesn’t follow a pattern, and there’s often a lack of closure. There are also added financial stressors. Unfortunately, Sandra had just lost her father this past December and her mother not even a year before that. It is more than one person should bear within such a short period.
We want to show our support to Sandra, Chase and Mike’s family during this difficult time by helping them cover these unexpected costs due to this sudden loss. Anything you can donate to support the family during this heartbreak is greatly appreciated.
