Celebration of life - Mariah L. Fernandez

With great sadness we announce the death of Mariah Fernandez, who unexpectedly and suddenly passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at the age of 29.

The cause of death was due to a hereditary illness that went undetected, but has been a great shock to us all, given how young, healthy and full of life she was. Whilst death is inevitable, her life was only just beginning.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Mariah will remember her kindness,generosity, creativity, free spirited nature and bravery in always being her authentic self. Our sadness of her passing is more than words can say.

Mariah was a teacher at Community Day Early Learning Center at Ballard Way. Beautiful words of sentiment were sent from CEO, María Gonzalez Moeller from TCG, “…Mariah was not just our co-worker but a good friend to many at TCG and an asset to our students, families and community. Her dedication to enriching the lives of children during the last 9 years at TCG will be honored by each of us in our everyday work, and her impact in our community will continue. She will be part of our TCG family forever.”

We mourn the loss of our daughter, granddaughter, sister, life partner, titi, teacher, and friend. We are hoping to raise money to cover her “Celebration of Life” event and lasting memorial in her name.
