In Memory of Diana Cortez Yanez

Our family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the encouraging messages, floral recognition, and your kind expressions of love and sympathy in our time of great sorrow. On the evening of February 27th, 2023, our beloved Diana passed away, all too suddenly, leaving us utterly heartbroken. As a Sister, a second mother to many of us, an Aunt, a cousin, a niece and a Friend, Diana was a very special person to each and every one of us and she always will be!

Everyone who met Diana knows what it is to experience authentic happiness, even if for just a moment. Not only was she a beautiful, selfless and loving woman, but she had an infectious personality and could make time stop through laughter. We'll think of her when we pick up our coffee order, when we go for a swim or when we see a wild horse, but most of all we'll remember her joyous laughter, the way she made us laugh in return, and her soothing words of encouragement to get up and keep fighting. We couldn't even begin to number all of the amazing things she did in her lifetime. She saved many lives and touched even more hearts. Her memory will live on forever through the stories we share and through the important work she accomplished as a Suicide Prevention expert, Peer Counselor, and Mentor. It brings us joy and honor to celebrate Diana's life.

On behalf of her family, we are grateful, and thank you for the kind, loving support shown us during this time of great loss.
