Celebration of Life Heidi Sue Dowland

“The first stab of love is like a sunset, a blaze of color -- oranges, pearly pinks, vibrant purples...” Sunset was her favorite color. The vibrancy of a sunset was how she lived her life.
It is with heavy hearts that we begin the journey of mourning the loss of Heidi Sue Dowland, who was taken suddenly from us on January 13th, 2019. Heidi had a zest for life that was infectious. Her smile and bright spirit lit up any room, she never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel like her best friend. She made us all want to be a better person. She lived her life out loud with no regrets, always laughing, always loving and always willing to give Sir Mix-A-Lot a run for his money.
My mom meant so much to so many; a lot of family and friends have been asking how they can help. She has left behind myself and 2 brothers as well as a partner that is in critical condition. As we struggle to imagine how we can possibly be able to pick up the pieces of our broken hearts, we must also face the challenge of planning her memorial. We know she would want to share a celebration of her incredible life with all of those she loved so much. We would be tremendously grateful for any financial support for her memorial expenses and medical bills.
