Remembrance for Costco's Greeter Thelma Howard

To many, Thelma was a mother, grandmother, sister,  cousin, aunt, and friend.  Many who came across Thelma knew her for her contagious smile, infectious laugh and warm hugs, greeting you at Costco in Sand City where she worked for over 20 years who lived on the Monterey Peninsula as a single parent raising her son William Harris and her granddaughter Portia Harris.  Thelma was also known as the best jazz blues singer around town, performing at the jazz festival and blues in the park. She also sang at the Hyatt, Embassy Suits and other surrounding areas in town, marking her as the local celebrity of Monterey County.  Thelma always gave back to her community by involving herself and granddaughter through community service and being members of the key club. Thelma was overall a part of so many different activities and involvements where it made it impossible to not know of her. She will be greatly missed by those she met through a simple hello never knowing your name, but always referred you by little bunny rabbit, sugar dumpling, my love or her baby.

Unfortunately God has called her home. If you can help in any way possible to lay our beautiful loving angel to rest, will be greatly appreciated.
