Celebration of Life for Stephen Powell
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Micaylah and I am writing on behalf of my cousins Mya and Nevaeh, as well as my aunt, their mother, Daniele. Yesterday my family received the most devastating, and unexpected news. After years of fighting chronic illness, Mya and Nevaeh’s father Stephen has passed away. If you have had the pleasure of meeting Stephen, you will agree that he was a very funny man and he loved his daughters more than anything else in this world. If you have had a conversation with Stephen, I bet it was along the lines of how proud he was of his girls and their soccer skills, as well as how many goals that they scored in their last game. This loss is hitting the family extremely hard. Losing a parent at such a young age is far from easy. The girls no longer have their father here with them to witness all of their life achievements; graduation, marriage, having children, and all things in between. We are coming together as a family to help make the grieving process for Mya, Nevaeh, and Daniele as easy as possible by supporting them and alleviating the stress of the financial aspect of this tragedy. Unfortunately Stephen did not have life insurance, and Mya is the next of kin which places an unimaginable amount of strain on her, being only 18 years old and in her senior year of high school just months before graduation. All donations will go towards providing a proper memorial for Stephen and the remaining funds will be used to continue providing for the girls in their basic needs. Stephen, it brings some peace to know that you are no longer in pain and that you have been reunited with some of the people that you love. Papa loved you so much and we hope that you both are catching up in heaven. You never turned anyone away, and you would always do your best to make sure everyone around you was doing well even if you were going through your own health struggles. We love you so much, and thank you for always taking such great care of my girls. ❤️
