Celebration of life for Pamela Patterson-White
This GoFundMe page was created to help the family of Pamela Jane Patterson-White with funeral / memorial expenses for the celebration of her life and to assist David, her grieving husband with unexpected financial hardships.
Sometimes we all fall victim of hard times and need to call on others for help.
This is a time in need for the family of Pamela White, wife of David White, and Mother of two sons Trevor McAlister and Brandon White, as well as a grandmother to Ayrton McAlister.
Pam was born on March 5, 1952 was adopted and lived in Dallas her entire life...
She lived a great life with her loving adoptive family. Her Father owned a food supply warehouse in Dallas, until he and the company
executives were all killed in a mid-air collision on a business trip when Pam was 12 years old. They had lost most everything… her Mother was a chef and Pam was mostly raised by her Grandparents during her teenage years. She always had lots of friends, was always the
"life of the party”, and lived in the heyday of Forest Lane cruising and muscle cars. She attended Hillcrest High School in North Dallas and
for her Graduation her Grandparents gifted her the car of her dreams a 1970 Chevelle SS silver with black stripes. Pam was first married at the age of 19 to Mike McAlister and at the age of 22 gave birth to her first son Trevor. When Trevor was 3 she divorced, then got remarried to David White and had her second child Brandon at 37 years old. Pam and David have been married 40 years.
Pam had a degenerative lung disease that was diagnosed about 5 years ago, and she was put on 100% oxygen 24/7/365. The disease
progressed day by day, she was fine on her own for 2-3 years, but as time passed it was harder for her. At one point it was dangerous for
her to not have someone caring for her and needed someone by her side for the remainder of her life. Brandon and David juggled this care
providing task as a team!
David continued to work full-time to provide as Brandon cared for Pam and they would share these duties together. They continued on... as a safety team for Pam before and during the pandemic. She was in and out of Hospital many times. She fought hard and was not going
down without a hard fight.
David was laid off from his job of 30+ years as the pandemic hit and times got harder for them to pay the bills. 2020 was bad for everyone with the COVID outbreak, it was even harder for them and made it imperative to keep her safe from the virus. If that wasn't bad enough
the "Freeze of 2021" displaced them from their apartment for 3+ months as it was being remodeled from broken pipes, flooding, and
damages.
As care ramped up day by day for Pam. She struggled for every breath the last 2 years of her life until she wasn't able to fight any longer.
She lost the fight of her life at the age of 69 June 26, 2021.
Pamela was a great soul and deserves a honorable memorial...
