In Loving Memory of Lora "Rockets" Laing

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved friend and esteemed colleague, Lora Laing, fondly known to all as "Rockets." A luminary in the motion picture and television industry, Rockets leaves behind an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Rockets was not only a master of her craft as an accomplished hairstylist, but she was also a beacon of warmth and friendship on every film or television set she graced. Her talent was matched only by her infectious spirit, and her ability to connect with everyone. Rockets didn't just style hair; she painted portraits of confidence and character, and lit up every actor she ever worked on through her infectious laughter and positive attitude.

Her dedication and passion for her work were evident in every project she touched, earning her the admiration and respect of colleagues, actors, actresses, and clients alike. Rockets' talent transcended her artistry, as she effortlessly cultivated friendships wherever she went. Her laughter filled the trailer, her smile lit up the darkest of mornings, and her kindness knew no bounds.

She is survived by her husband Jack Charbonneau. Her mother Ann Turner, and her brothers Kris Turner and Jay Turner. Her eldest son Jack Billings and his wife Jessica along with their five children Jack (21), Jordan (19), Charlotte (12), Cash (9) and Finn (7). Her son Rick Billings and his wife Brooke with their two children Dylan (16) and Max (11). Her youngest son Tommae Billings and his wife Jillian and finally, her Great-granddaughter Aleseana (1). She was considered family by many in the film industry, in which her compassion, creativity, and sense of humility burned brightly.

Though Rockets may have taken her final bow, her spirit will continue to shine brightly through the memories we hold dear. As we celebrate her remarkable life, let us honor her legacy by embracing the joy, kindness, and camaraderie she brought into our lives.

In remembrance of Rockets, a celebration of her life will be held on Stage 2 at the Utah Film Studios in Park City, Utah, Friday March 22 at 4 PM - 8 PM Let us gather together to share stories, laughter, tears, and raise a glass, as we pay tribute to beautiful woman who will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Please contribute what you can to help us offset the cost of her cremation and this celebration of life for a remarkable woman, an incredible friend, and enduring spirit of love and laughter.

Thank you.
