Family and friends, we're gathering to celebrate Janis O'Brien-Nelson's colorful life.  She was such a wonderful woman and cared for her loved ones dearly. Rarely one to shy away from a good time—even in the face of her 6-year-long brawl with stage 4 cancer—she was the life of the party. As she has quoted on many an occasion, "Life's a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death!" We're going to miss her so much but all of us here in the O'Brien camp can't think of a better way to honor her than to celebrate, share our stories, and reflect on her impact on us all. We're still feeling the weight of this loss, but it's been such a blessing to have a wealth of love and support from all of you who cared for Janis. That being said, I've set up this Go Fund Me campaign to help offset the cost of the venue rental, food and drink and other expenses incurred. Thank you so much! We appreciate any donation to this celebration of life and any amount over our goal will be donated on behalf of Janis' charity (Rockers 4 Knockers) to MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute .
