Update as of 1/4/2026 - mom passed away in her sleep at home with my dad, brother and I by her side on January 4, 2026 at 1am
In 2017, my mom was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. For the past eight years, she has been able to live with her diagnosis until this past September when her leukemia developed into Acute Myeloid Leukemia and has progressively taken a toll on her body.
My mom has made the hard decision of going into hospice care as she wants the comfort of loved ones for the rest of her time with us.
My family and I are navigating through this hard time as we take it day by day to help my mom get as comfortable as she can and support her with our love and presence.
My mom has been a registered nurse for the past 42 years in places like Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Reno. With her compassion for others, her humor to brighten someone’s day, her bubbly and kind personality, she is entirely thankful for the people she has met and the nursing community she was able to be a part of to help others.
My brother Christian and I are asking for help to give my mom a proper viewing and service to celebrate her life with all her friends and family. My mom’s wishes are to be cremated and spread in the places she’s loved seeing and places she always wanted to go to.
Any help is greatly appreciated and 100% of the help will go to celebrating my mom’s life and her cremation.
My family and I thank everyone for the prayers, the support, and the love you are giving us during this difficult time.
