On Friday, March 12, 2021, our lives were shattered forever. My older brother DeMarcus was a victim of senseless gun violence in Evanston, Illinois. He was sitting on the porch enjoying the day with two relatives when he’s life was abruptly cut short.
DeMarcus was a 20yo aspiring rapper and a family man. He was full of life and had a smile that lit up a room. His life being cut short has devastated my family.
