When the Lord called Delbert home his family wasn’t ready. A brother to some, a father to few, but a friend to all. Delbert was a man with a big heart and magnetic personality. So it is with great sadness that this go fund me page is even in existence. Delbert has been fighting a major health issue for the past couple of years, still resilient and hopeful in the process. A fighter til the end he never gave up and this was apparent on his journey through life. A selfless man who was so giving with his time and energy, if you knew him, you know this to be true. The best Dad and grandfather, a family man to the core, times spent with family was always the happiest. The youngest brother of 12 siblings, the stories they tell will keep his spirit alive.  A musician who’s leadership skills and love for music flourished in every gig with every band mate, and it was evident every time his hands would hit the drum. A retired mail carrier for the USPS, he made friends with all his coworkers and everyone he encountered on his route. Delbert will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The laughs, the love, his passion and infection smile will live on in his memory.

We are confident his mother is greeting him with open arms at the gates of Heaven.

This fundraiser is to help with medical bills that incurred during his month stay in the hospital where he underwent 3 surgeries. The fund will also go towards a Celebration of Life because Delbert is a husband, a father, brother, grandfather and friend worthy of celebrating. We already miss u…
