Celebration of Life for Danika Stevenson

Our sweet Danika was seven months pregnant and went into a coma last week.  There is a homicide investigation under way.  Her baby died a few days ago and Danika passed this evening (1-25-20).   Our hearts are broken... thank you all for your consistent love & prayers. 

She was a favorite to so many of us due to her one-of-a-kind personality, stubbornness and ability to cement herself deep in everyone’s heart.   It is hard to imagine life without her, we are still in a state of shock.  She was so loved by so many.   We are trying to raise money for a beautiful celebration of life.

Please donate whatever you can.  She deserved so much more than this at only  25 years of age.   In God’s hands now.

Dear Danika,

I said a prayer for you today, to make all your dreams come true...I asked for God to love you with a love you never knew...

I asked him to hold you and be with you today.  I asked that he hold you tight and never go away.

I told him that I loved you and I wanted to be there, for all those special moments I had dreamed that we would share.

I prayed that he would answer me and give you everything… That I’d still see you in the sunset and feel you in the spring.

I prayed the pain would not be bad and that you’d be set free, because every ounce of pain you feel leaves a scar in me. 

He said I love this child too... I had set her free.
My child was hurt so badly, I took her home to be with me.  Her pain will turn to comfort and her fears will fade away. She will know love endlessly I’ll be with her to stay.

This child is very special to me, I made her out of love.  I made her up of all the things that were so beautiful above.

When I came down to get her, she was filled with fear , she didn’t want to leave you either, but I promised you’d be near.  She saw all of you praying and how you loved her so, how hard it was for you, not wanting to let go.

I told her you were mine too and someday you’d join us too, but for now she must come home and together we’ll wait for you.

I picked her up gently, wiped the tears from off her face, wrapped my loving arms around her,  she could feel my warm embrace.   

Surrounded by loving angels, we carried her all the way.   She’ll never have to hurt again, she’s home at last to stay.
