On 3/2/26, we lost our son, Alex, due to addiction. We were able to raise money for his cremation, and we are deeply grateful for that support. Since losing Alex, our day-to-day lives have been changed in ways that are hard to put into words.
Larry and I have had to take unpaid FMLA about once a week since we lost Alex. Our grief has been unbearable at times. This loss has affected our ability to work every day, and it has taken a real toll on our mental health and sleep. Because of that time away from work, we have fallen behind on a few bills while trying to carry this grief.
We are asking for help so we can hold a Celebration of Life for Alex, catch up on some of the bills we have fallen behind on, and be able to advocate more in Alex’s memory by putting Narcan vending machines in a couple of places. Supporting this fundraiser would help us manage the financial strain that came with the last few months and make space for us to honor our son in a meaningful way.
Any donation or share would mean so much to our family. Thank you for helping us remember Alex and support us during this incredibly difficult time.
