Celebration of Kyashia's Life

From Amber and Justin Haller:
Kyashia was born on June 29, 2006 partially deaf, with facial scapular humoral muscular dystrophy, (which we discovered at age 8 – 9). She was always happy and could make anyone smile.
She was non-verbal for the first couple of years but communicated through making noise and it never stopped. Like all children, if she didn’t make noise, we knew something was wrong. She lost her ability to walk at age 9 but remained happy always. She touched everyone's heart that met her. Everyone that met her will never forget her.
She would make us play hacky-sack for hours sitting in her chair.
She loved people watching.
She loved being outdoors.
She loved school and has more friends than anyone could count.
On September 27, 2018 her airway collapsed (she'd always had breathing problems) causing her to go into cardiac arrest, so we were air lifted to Doernbechers Children Hospital, where we stayed by her side until December 31, 2018 when she was released to come back home. We came home for a few days but the trach was not fitting right. She needed a different size trach, so back we went for a 4th surgery.
We went home for 2 weeks and then went back to Doernbechers because she had pneumonia. They put in a 5th trach. She came home and was doing really good after 5 trach surgeries.
But on February 5th, 2019 her trach ruptured an artery in her throat and there was nothing anyone could do.
She passed away at 1:30am on February 6, 2019.
Any contribution to help celebrate the life of this beautiful, loving, child is appreciated. Thank you.
