Celebration of Keani Braxton

Keani Braxton lost her life in a fire early Thursday morning in Madison, WI. Keani had just turned 21 years old and was joyful and a spark of sunshine and positive energy where ever she went.  Keani is a twin and she and her sister, Imani were very close, always wanting to be together like twins will do.  Keani's mom, Shawnte is a beloved and amazing teacher at Wright Middle School.  Like her daughter, Shawnte lives life with joy and love and is always giving to others.  She is resilient and kind in spite all of the challenges in her life, including losing her husband, Alvin, to a heart attack 7 years ago.  All of us are grieving with our friend and colleague and want to ensure she is able to have a proper funeral and burial for Keani.  The funds, which will be managed by Shawnte, are needed by June 15, 2020, to cover the funeral, burial costs and headstone and to circumvent putting more stress and worry on Shawnte.  Prayers and love for her family are also appreciated.
