Just two weeks ago, Frank was admitted into the hospital with pneumonia. Little did anyone know up until a week ago, he was suffering with lung cancer that had already traveled in the body. We're not sure if he knew all along and just didn't want to worry us, but none of us knew how rapidly his health would deteriorate in just two weeks since walking through those hospital doors. Just 5 days ago he was able to have a real conversation and laugh and joke with his family by his side. This morning around 1:45 am, he left his physical body and went to join his son Frankie to the other side. Anyone who knows the Nowakowski family knows how tragic this loss feels to his very close-knit family and close friends. We were not mentally prepared to handle this sudden loss, and right now it's very hard to process. His children and grand children loved him more than anything, and heavily relied on him for mental strength and support. Frank was a proud Veteran who served as a Marine in Vietnam. He was the kind of person who lit up a room with his bright smile & icy blue eyes. He'd give the shirt off his back to anyone in need or not in need, & he was always joking and making light of any situation, no matter how serious it may have been. He loved to joke around and make everyone laugh. Frank wanted to be cremated, so that is what will happen. We don't know all of the details of the memorial service just yet, we are trying to figure out if we can rent out the American Legion in Stuart for his service, but haven't gotten an official answer back yet. Lastly, we know the money goal probably won't be met fully, but any contribution no matter how small or big would be very much appreciated, and extremely helpful financially. Thank you to anyone for donating, please send healing energy, love & prayers to our family. Frank Andrew Nowakowski 06/17/1951 - 07/28/2021
