On August 10, 2025—his sister Cadence’s 16th birthday—my heart was shattered into tiny pieces when I lost my son, Zane Braedon Ridenour, at just 22 years old. Born September 28, 2002, in Crescent City, CA, Zane was a kind, free-spirited soul who loved camping, fishing, riding quads and dirt bikes, and making everyone laugh.

A sudden blood infection attacked his heart and caused two major strokes, taking him from us far too soon. Zane dreamed of becoming a lineman and lived life full throttle, with a heart as big as his smile.

He left behind his siblings: Kierra, Cadence, Brandon Jr., Arianna, Aiden, Rowan, and Summer. We are raising funds to lay Zane to rest and celebrate his life in a way that reflects his adventurous spirit and the love he gave so freely. Any contribution—no matter the size—or even just sharing this as much as possible, means the world to me and our family.
