Thank you so very much for your generous support of Yeoman's family. His friends and coworkers have made this Memorial Fund a remarkable success.
The Memorial Fund is now closed.
This Go-Fund-Me page was started by coworkers, friends and family of Yeoman Elisaia to create a memorial fund in his honor and support his family, specifically his youngest children Augustino and Arcianna who lost their mother five years ago and now have tragically lost their father who was an integral part of their lives.
Yeoman Elisaia unfortunately passed away suddenly after delivering over 25 years of "Yeoman service". We have lost a remarkable Fiber Team Supervisor in the City and County of San Francisco's Public Safety Division.
Public Safety Director Joseph John said: "Yeoman’s cheerful positive attitude was a constant inspiration to the staff and division. He is one of the pioneers of our municipal fiber infrastructure and is leaving behind a legacy for us to cherish."
City CIO, Linda Gerull remarked: “Yeoman prided himself on being at work 30 minutes early every day and was the last to leave. He was a strong and happy presence in Public Safety and we will miss his leadership and energy.”
Yeoman was extremely hardworking. His coworkers in Public Safety often commented "Yeoman never gets tired." He was the go-to person for any and all fiber installation challenges and solved the most difficult problems. His coworkers said:
- "You are a larger than life individual and DT has lost a part of itself, we owe what we have to you and that will never be forgotten."
- "Yeoman, my friend, mentor, and teacher. I will always be in debt to you for the kindness you showed in the knowledge you shared. you will be missed brother!"
- "If you knew him at all you knew he was a passionate man. In all his endeavors he would always help you out in a bind. Never let the issue at home or at work bring him down, he just started working on the next solution with his “get it done attitude”.
- "He was a diamond in the rough and will never be forgotten."
There are so many treasured memories of Yeoman - his favorite food was Chinese! There was not a day anyone can remember when Yeoman was not eating Chinese food except for the rare occasion when he had a sandwich from 3rd Street. His favorite music was reggae and his hobby was his city Job and his KIDs.
What we will miss the most is his cheerful yet booming voice greetings and goodbyes no matter the hour of the day.
Never will we be able to fill the void he has left at work, in our lives, and our hearts. Please extend your heartfelt condolences to Yeoman's family and friends.
His work and vibrant energy uplifted everyone, everyday - he will be so missed.
