If you don’t already know me, my name is Teno.

On January 9, 2026 my grandmother was rushed to the ER in the morning. She was diagnosed with influenza A. Later that day she suddenly had a heart attack and they did CPR for 12 minutes and gained a pulse. After resuscitation she was transferred to the ICU where she was put on life support. The doctors explained to us that she was in a coma. After a week of fighting for her life in the ICU, her condition started to worsen and had zero chances of waking up. It was devastating news for my grandfather and my entire family as we have tried everything in our faith to support her.

I am starting this GoFundMe for my family and me to help cover funeral services for my grandmother, It Ros. We call her Yeay. She was a loving great grandmother, grandmother, mom and devoted wife. She meant so much to our family, as she was always joking around and bringing light and happiness whenever she walked into a room. Losing her has been incredibly difficult for us. We want to give her a proper and beautiful send-off that honors our Cambodian traditions. This includes a viewing and a ceremonial visit to the temple. These rituals are very meaningful to our family, a way to show respect, pray for her, and say our final goodbyes.
