Unk was the most helpful and caring person you could ever meet. He was always ready with a joke, a helping hand, or a listening ear. Whether you needed a road trip buddy, help moving, your lawn mowed, your home painted, or just someone to talk to, Unk was there. He babysat everyone’s children and was the kind of person you could call for anything. His love for nature, especially birds, was something everyone knew about. Even if it took him a week to walk to you, Unk would find a way to be there.

Sadly, in October 2025, Unk was diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia and stage 4 lung cancer. His passing was sudden and unexpected, and one of his nieces came home from work on Thanksgiving and found him. Unk did not have life insurance, and we didn’t have time to prepare for the costs that come with saying goodbye. He wished to be cremated, and we want to honor his wishes and give him the memorial he deserves.

The funds raised will go directly toward paying the anatomy board for holding his body, the funeral home for the cremation, and hosting a memorial service to celebrate Unk’s life. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help us give Unk the farewell he deserves. Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
